Title

PPIs are a class of drug that closely resemble X-derivatives.

Title

Calcium channel blockers, especially amlodipine/nifedipine have an inosine-similar structure. Other CCBs, like diltiazem, are xanthosine-similar.

Title

CCBs have similar function to PPIs PMID 2156990, although apparently not through CCB.

This activity is also apparent in clotting: PMID 21854540, an affect achieved through blocking an adenosine receptor as demonstrated by newer ticagrelor, an apparent adenosine analogue and known adenosine receptor blocker PMID XXXX, consistent with caffeine.

The correlation with purine-similar structure is stronger, more predictive of activity, than are traditional drug classes, suggesting an important role to purinergic signaling.
