Scott Daniels, MD, MHA draws on a background of Applied Mathematics, Quality Improvement, and Physician Leadership as well as more than a decade practicing inpatient psychiatry from rural hospitals to downtown academic centers and state hospitals. He is a former medical director and department chair.
Dr. Daniels' first article proposed a purinergic basis for bipolar disorder, uniting mechanisms of lithium, valproate, and ECT, and explaining therapeutic crossover with epilepsy PMID 37820933. Read more about his methods and outcomes.
He is currently working on an article describing the purine basis of schizophrenia, and would be happy to find collaborators.
